Brandon Hedrick discovered CrossFit in 2008 to supplement his Rugby training, and then in 2010 he began coaching CrossFit. Brandon started competing in CrossFit in late 2012. He qualified and competed as an individual in the 2013 Mid-Atlantic Regionals, and has goals of continuing to compete each year. Brandon trained and competed with Rising CF Ballantyne in 2015 and 2016 and went to the Games in 2015 and Regionals both 2015 and 2016 with the team. A dedicated athlete, Brandon was a Myers Park High School standout in wrestling and rugby. He also played competitive rugby for the Charlotte Rugby Club, which placed second in 2012 in their division. Brandon taps into his love of sports and athletic challenges when coaching CrossFit athletes. He strongly believes his diverse sports background, coupled with his educational knowledge provides athletes he coaches with the encouragement, motivation and expertise to work through even the most challenging WODS. Brandon encourages athletes to have confidence in their abilities and works with them to improve upon their individual deficiencies by focusing on increases in mobility, flexibility and proper movement patterns. Besides being a firm believer in the CrossFit philosophies and methodology, Brandon loves the camaraderie and community that CrossFit offers. In his free time, Brandon enjoys hanging out with his wife Gracie and two baby girls Remi & Rylee, and two dogs, Biggie and Bear.
